Our patented thrust alignment plate will allow for corrections of setback and thrust angle on most vehicles with rear leaf springs. Installation is made by loosening the U-bolts holding the leaf spring to the axle, installing the alignment plate betweenthe axle and leaf spring and retightening the U-bolts. By combining the shims (two may be used per wheel) you can get up to +/-.50 degrees toe Our wrench (87530) is a must when installing these shims. It allows you to remove the brake tone ring, bearing, seal and hub assembly as one unit. CAUTION: Check brake & rotor clearance for binding. 75970 spacers may be required.

GM's HiPer strut has been released on several Buicks and Cadillacs. To adjust front camber you must adjust a cam bolt on knuckle assembly. However, GM is using torque-to-yield bolts which require replacement whenever an alignment is performed. Replace the OE 10.9 Grade torque-to-yield bolts with SPC's upgraded 12.9 bolts and you will not need to replace the bolt for future alignments. The kit includes 2 bolts; a cam bolt for the slotted upper and a standard replacement bolt for the lower hole, enough toalign one corner.

Whether you want negative camber for the track or positive change to reduce tire wear, these easy to install shims will get the job done. SPC has built this shim and caliper spacer from aluminum to accomodate the rigors of the application and how you may choose to drive your car. Need more change? Use SPC p/n 71933 for ±0.75° change, 71934 for ±1.00° change, or 71935 for ±1.25° change. Get an 8 piece set and have 2 each of the different sizes available for your next job.
